Join us for our 6th Annual Harvest Dinner on October 14!

Happy fall, friends! Yep, we said it and that makes it official. Fall is here and while it might still feel like a sauna out there, that crisp air is waiting in the wings. Or, we hope it is. It must be, right? Anyyyyy day now…Well, hey, while we wait for the air outside to catch up with the season, let’s pass some time together dreaming of cool weather things we love. Crunchy leaves underfoot! Decorative gourds! Finally wanting to turn on our ovens again. Ah, and perhaps the highlight of the fall season for us at Raleigh City Farm (and maybe for you, too?)—our Sixth Annual Harvest Dinner, coming up on October 14! Nothing says fall louder than a spectacular feast under the stars on a cool, crisp evening. We just can’t wait and we hope you’ll join us. This year, we are thrilled to announce that Chef Jeff Seizer of Royalewill be our featured chef. Having spent over a decade in the kitchens of some of the finest restaurants in New York City, including the renowned River Cafe and several of famed restaurateur Danny Meyer’s establishments (as sous chef of Union Square Cafe, on the opening team at Maialino, and as Chef de Cuisine at Gramercy Park Hotel), Seizer is a newcomer to the Triangle restaurant scene but has quickly become a prominent name here. At Royale, the cozy, hip French-American bistro he opened in historic City Market in 2016 with Will Jeffers and Jesse Bardyn, he cooks seasonal, locally-sourced dishes that are both rooted in French tradition and playfully contemporary. For our Harvest Dinner, Chef Seizer has created a seasonal, multi-course dinner menu showcasing fresh and sustainably grown produce along with local provisions. Wine Authorities, whose Raleigh location is just steps from the Farm, will provide exclusive wines from family-owned wineries around the world and Fullsteam Brewerybased in Durham will provide seasonal beers. Guests attending the special VIP reception from 5-6pm prior to dinner will enjoy light hors d’oeuvres and seasonal cocktails from William & Company, and will have an opportunity to meet Chef Seizer. During the dinner, we will hold a brief live auction, offering experiences such as a 3-night getaway at a vacation home in the mountains of Boone, NC; one-of-a-kind foodie adventures; and items that will last a lifetime such as a curated package of handcrafted art objects from local makers, just to name a few. A number of silent auction items will also be offered, including pottery, chocolate, yoga, NC Theater dress rehearsal tickets, and much more.

After helping us re-brand this annual event last year, Earth & Olive has continued to refine the overall design and branding for this year's event. We are inspired by the many ways in which E&O marries design and wellness and remain grateful for their donation of time, creativity and resources to nonprofits like ours.
