Raleigh City Farm Day: A 15th Bearthday Celebration Recap
By proclamation of Mayor Janet Cowell, Saturday, April 25th 2026 was declared Raleigh City Farm Day, and we had no choice but to celebrate with a really great party. (We’re good at that.)
Record crowds turned out to hang on the Farm, which—at 15(!)—has never looked better!
Mother Nature graced us with perfect weather; afterwards, she provided much-needed rain.
Our Founders read the City of Raleigh proclamation and reminded us of our roots.
The food from Jake Wolf and Greg Poole of Empire Eats was top-notch, with the majority sourced from RCF.
Partner activities, including lots to do for the kids, and the Ask a Farmer tent kept everyone engaged, entertained, and educated.
Music and plein air art added artistic touches.
Free Bearthday cupcakes were popular!
Logistics were nearly seamless, thanks to strong volunteer support.
15th Anniversary merch sold like hotcakes, and sales will continue at the Farmstand.
With big fun came a very light footprint, thanks to compostable packaging and our partnership with CompostNow!
Happy 15th Bearthday to us!
