Grant from Bank of America Helps Raleigh City Farm Continue Pay-What-You-Can Farmstand

In 2021, Raleigh City Farm received a grant from Bank of America to help establish a Pay-What-You-Can (PWYC) Farmstand. We established the PWYC Farmstand at the Farm each Wednesday from 4-7 PM as well as at a secondary location at The Salvation Army (902 Wake Forest Rd.) from 2:30-5:30 pm Monday through Friday. Our PWYC Farmstand allows us to continue to equitably provide healthy, nutritious produce to everyone in the Raleigh community. In May 2022, we received an additional grant of $15,000 from Bank of America to continue our PWYC Farmstand. This grant helps us to further increase the impact of our mission: To connect and nourish our community through regenerative agriculture.

Bank of America partners with nonprofits who are removing barriers to economic success for vulnerable populations, including youth, working families, and those with barriers to employment including the homeless and formally incarcerated. They are committed to advancing a more diverse and inclusive society by expanding opportunities and supporting equitable solutions that will enable low-income communities to grow and prosper. Recently, Bank of America announced its newly-expanded $1.25 billion, five-year commitment to help advance racial equality and economic opportunity in our communities.

Raleigh City Farm is very grateful to the generosity of Bank of America to continue its PWYC Farmstand and increase the impact of its mission.
