It's Giving Tuesday! And Our New Video is Here!

If a picture is worth a thousand words, what’s a video worth? At Raleigh City Farm, so much of our mission and our message have to do with a physical place—a place where food is grown, where people can meet their local farmer, where encounters with agriculture happen easily because farmland isn’t somewhere out there...it’s right here. All the words we can write can’t fully capture what Raleigh City Farm is and how it makes you feel to be here. You need to see it to experience it. This year we teamed up with the talented folks at Jumping Rock Media, a Raleigh-based creative agency that specializes in video and animation. Jumping Rock was a joy to work with. They had no shortage of patience and generosity as they guided us through the process of distilling our organization into a compelling, informational, and beautiful 60-second video. We are giddy with excitement to finally be able to share it with you. If you’re already a friend of RCF, we hope it makes you proud to be a part of our organization. If you’re new to RCF, we hope it makes you want to get to know us better. This video is a celebration of all that we do at Raleigh City Farm and what we’re all about—supporting new farmers while reducing waste, creating healthier communities, and reconnecting city-dwellers with food production. On this Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving, we urge you to give locally to organizations working hard to change your community for the better. Do you consider us one of those organizations? Then please consider supporting us. There are two extra good reasons to give to us today. For one, RCF is eligible for Facebook & Paypal’s Giving Tuesday matching program, in which all gifts made to RCF through our Facebook page will be matched dollar for dollar. Just click on the blue "Donate" button. (Whatever your feelings on Facebook, that’s pretty cool of them.) Second, if you give a little something to us between now and year-end, we’ll give a little something back to you. Donate $30 or more and you’ll receive a “Dig Where You Live” reusable canvas tote bag. (We designed them ourselves and we have excellent taste. Trust us, you’ll want one.)So watch our new video (embedded below). Enjoy it and share it. And maybe donate to show your support for us, too—the little urban farm around the corner with big dreams. We hope we’re an important place in your world.
