Join us for our Fifth Annual Harvest Dinner on October 15th!

We know. It may be September, but you're still getting your last licks of summer (literally) and they taste like the sweetest tomatoes of the season. Carry on! Please continue to enjoy those.Let us just whisper quietly in your ear (though you can be sure we'll shout it louder later) that our Fifth Annual Harvest Dinner at Raleigh City Farm is October 15, and we hope you'll join us for another spectacular fall feast under the stars. This year, we couldn't be more excited to announce that Chef Cheetie Kumar of Garland will be our featured chef. Chef Cheetie is a 2017 James Beard Award semi-finalist and was recently profiled in Food & Wine. At Garland, the restaurant she opened with her husband in 2013, the seasonally driven menu is influenced by the flavors of India and Asia, with locally sourced ingredients reinvented with a distinctly Southern flare. It’s extensive menu of approachable creations features innovative and delicately prepared dishes that are truly unique. Garland continues to wow the culinary scene in Downtown Raleigh, North Carolina offering a casual dining experience in a comfortable yet funky space, with great food, delicious seasonal cocktails and an adventurous wine menu. For our Harvest Dinner, Chef Cheetie has created a seasonal, multi-course dinner menu showcasing fresh and sustainably grown produce along with local provisions. Wine Authorities, whose Raleigh location is just steps from the Farm, will provide exclusive wines from family-owned wineries around the world and Fullsteam Brewerybased in Durham will provide seasonal beers. Guests attending the special VIP reception from 5-6pm prior to dinner will enjoy light hors d’oeuvres and seasonal cocktails from William & Company, and will have an opportunity to meet Chef Cheetie. Our Farm Partnerswill also be on hand to provide guided tours of the farm site.During the dinner, we will hold a brief live auction, offering experiences such as a 3-night getaway at a vacation home in the mountains of Boone, NC and an oceanfront Atlantic Beach stay in a 3-bedroom condo just to name a few. A number of silent auction items will also be offered including several one-of-a-kind paintings by local artists whose work can be found at local art gallery The Mahler Fine Art.
