It’s the peak of growing season at Raleigh City Farm. We are consistently amazed at how much our farm partners are able to produce off of our 1-acre site! They continue to impress us all with their dedication to sustainable growing methods and their ability to take on each new challenge, quickly pivot, and adapt to new and pressing demands in the market.Here are some updates on our Farm Partners:
Farmer James is just past the halfway point of his inaugural Neighborhood Produce Share CSA and has begun branching out to take on new business opportunities like the weekly Durham Flower Market.
Our hydroponic growers, Matt & Chase of Endless Sun Farms, have continued to grow their business and have expanded to two new hydroponic greenhouses located in Durham. They have recently acquired their necessary permits to start growing hemp out of those spaces.
Also, Chris Rumbley of Farmers’ Collective has moved offsite to a larger space that can better accommodate his growing food hub business. We are grateful for his years of service to RCF, especially during our early, formative days.
