Raleigh City Farm Community Workdays at Marsh Creek Park are in partnership with City of Raleigh. Sign up to dig in using the City of Raleigh sign up tool:
Description:
Dig in and help us grow our new location behind the Marsh Creek Park Community Center! This year we are focused on building soil and building community - preparing the space for vegetable production, planting pollinator habitats, and getting to know our new neighbors.
Duties and Impact:
Volunteers assist with planting, mulching, weeding, harvesting and distributing the produce we grow. Your efforts keep the farm alive and thriving, making possible our mission to connect and nourish the community through regenerative agriculture. A healthy farm supports accessible distribution of fresh food, educational opportunities for all ages, and is important as a space to connect with each other as well as with the land.
Work Environment:
Raleigh City Farm is situated on a 1.5-acre plot outdoors behind the Marsh Creek Park Community Center. You can expect uneven terrain, limited shade, physical work (though we’re happy to accommodate as needed), and a high degree of interaction with soil and plants as you complete common gardening tasks. There will be a restroom on site.
