Flow Yoga at the Farm

  • Raleigh City Farm 800 North Blount Street Raleigh, NC, 27604 United States (map)

This is an all levels yoga class that synchronizes the movement of the breath with the body. An appropriate level of challenge is offered so that the thinking mind can rest and focus solely on the breath. Modifications are offered to accommodate beginners and seasoned practitioners. Sun Salutations will be central to the class, as well as flow sequences which will include twists, balances, strengthening postures, hip openers and back bends. Plan to bring your yoga mat, and one to two beach towels to use as props or under your mat.

The class will be taught by Renée Baker, ERT-200, RYT-500, M.Ed. After a career of over a decade as a Montessori teacher, Renée completed her 200 and 300 hour vinyasa flow based yoga training at Asheville Yoga Center in North Carolina. Her classes are thoughtfully planned and guided, sprinkled with yogic philosophy, life wisdom, poetry, prānāyāma, and meditation. Learn more about Renée on her website: Maitrī Yoga and Wellness.
