How Will YOU Harvest Dinner at Home?

Although we would like to be gathering together “under the stars” at the Farm, we’re excited that our Harvest Dinner at Home ticket holders can still experience the magic of sharing local food, prepared by creative chefs to support the mission of Raleigh City Farm. We’ve cooked up some fun ideas for you to consider as you make plans to enjoy your Harvest Dinner at Home.

Where To Host

Creative At Home Ideas

Why not create your own indoor or outdoor picnic? Spread out your favorite blanket, light some candles, turn on your best tunes. Or what about creating a dress up date night? Haul out last year’s gala outfit and stage your own fancy party. How about a movie? Two of our favorites are “The Biggest Little Farm” or To Make a Farm. How about glamping in your own backyard? Set up a tent and table and you’re good to go!

Get Social/Online/Zoom with Friends

How about a Zoom dinner party? Perhaps you can add a wine tasting element. Many museums have an online collection that you can access for free, which is perfect for a couples night in idea! Get your artsy fix and check out one of these museums you can visit online: The British Museum in London, The Louvre in Paris or the  The Dali Theater and Museum in Spain. For more art closer to home; check out our very own NCMA

Find a Safe, Scenic Destination

Take your meal outside and picnic in the park. Dix Park or the new Moore Square Park are great choices! (Note: you’ll need to follow heating/preparation instructions before you head out.)

Add Ambiance

Set a Stellar Table

Time to pull out that wedding china, your finest silver and maybe the napkins from Spoonflower that you purchased and the tablecloth that you’ve stowed away. Add some flowers (we sell bouquets at our weekly Farmstand every Wednesday from 4-7pm through October) and of course as many candles as you can find.
